See scores of newborn lambs as a springtime event returns.
The annual lambing weekend at Hadlow College, near Tonbridge, is a chance for families to have a cuddle with farm animals and learn about what it takes to rear them.
Each year, up to 10,000 visitors pass through Kent’s only rural and land-based college to see the lambs frolicking in the fields and lambing sheds.
“Our lambing weekend is now an established part of the spring calendar in the south east, and it is always hugely popular,” says Chris Lydon, vice principal of Hadlow College. “It is a wonderful opportunity to see some adorable lambs and to explore the beautiful surroundings we have here at Hadlow.”
There are also plenty of activities for visitors of all ages, many of which aim to highlight the work of the staff and students at the college.
There will be tractor trailer rides, archery, funfair rides, food and drink stalls and arts and crafts.
Lambs aren’t the only animals you can see over the weekend.
There will also be a birds of prey display and talks and demonstrations by the National Centre for Reptile Welfare.
The lambing weekend at Hadlow College takes place on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21. You can book tickets online here.
The event is open from 11am to 4pm both days.
