It's not every day you sit in a luxurious restaurant with table service in your dressing gown.
But once you've been at Champneys health spa for half an hour, it will feel like the most natural thing in the world.
Not getting dressed is a luxury in itself, and the relaxed air of the spa means you can luxuriate in the comfort of your fluffy robe and Champneys flip flops as much as you like.
Head into the pool area and you'll find guests lounging on the comfortable loungers reading books, with a glass of wine in their hand. Yes, it's decadent, but then this is Champneys.
Eastwell Manor opened the Champneys health spa at Easter this year after a multi million pound renovation that took six months.
It has a full treatment menu, the pool area with sauna and steam room, gym and thermal areas.
Upstairs, in the treatment rooms you can enjoy delights from facials and massages to pedicures and manicures to seaweed wraps and the spa heaven cocoon, which will leave you feeling like you are floating and smelling beautiful.
Everywhere is new and contemporary and for me, one of the highlights was the outdoor terrace, with huge, thickly padded sun loungers looking out over the picturesque countryside enveloping the spa.
At this time of year, the autumnal colours all around simply added to the stunning setting.
If you want a gym experience, before relaxing, the state of the art gym has all the equipment you need - and if you forget your kit, there is plenty on offer to buy.
Attentive staff are able to cater to your every need and you know you're in a luxury spa when there's shampoo and conditioner laid on in the shower for you.
Champneys may be exclusive but don't feel like you might not fit in. In the restaurant, there was a group of ladies celebrating a birthday together, outside there were girls having a weekend away, and there were couples and families. The important thing is, when you're there, you're part of that exclusive club, enjoying that little bit of luxury.
So, if you're looking for that special treat for someone, whether it's a special occasion, or just a chance to spoil someone, you couldn't make a better choice.
Prices for treatments range from £49 for a Champneys body wrap and £49 for Champneys head in the clouds massage, to £110 for a Universal contour wrap and £129 for an Elemis absolute spa ritual.
Champneys has five resorts, six city spas, a college, beauty courses at LCCA and a range of globally recognised products. Eastwell Manor is at Boughton Lees, Asford, TN25 4HR. For details go to champneys.com or call 0843 2241700.
