Have you got what it takes to challenge the Dizzy Dragons and Robin Hood’s Merry Men?
Fun-seekers and charity supporters aged 10 and up are invited to take part in uproarious summer event the Cornwallis It’s A Knockout Challenge!
Participants can support any good cause of their choice as they bounce, wobble and splash their way along 12 wacky activities on Sunday, June 4. Families, friends and work colleagues will have a hoot as they negotiate foam filled obstacles, inflatable zigzag tunnels and scramble nets to compete for top honours.
The event which is being staged at Aylesford Rugby Club is open to bookings from teams of eight to 10 people. Trophies will be awarded to the group completing the course in the fastest time and the team raising the most funds for charity.
Cornwallis East Kent Freemasons' Charity is staging the challenge following a successful pilot event in 2016. This will be the first year the event has been opened up to support the fundraising for the wider charitable sector.
The KM Charity Team is supporting the It’s A Knockout Challenge by handling team bookings and sponsorship collection on the day, while the event itself is managed by the Cornwallis charity. Seventy percent of the teams’ sponsorship will go to their chosen causes and 30 per cent will support children's literacy initiatives organised by the KM Charity Team.
Simon Dolby from the KM Charity Team said: "This is an exciting challenge and I'm delighted that Cornwallis have opened their event up to allow teams to fundraise for the cause of their choice. Our charity stages a dozen collaborative charity challenge events each year and so we offered to help handle bookings from the charitable sector. We are hoping this will prove to be a big event."
