A new blockbuster shot across Kent has been tipped for BAFTA and Oscar nominations.
Bird, starring Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan, was filmed in Gravesend, Northfleet, Bean and Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey last summer and has now made its way to the big screen.
Last year, film crews were seen at various locations across the county shooting scenes for Academy Award-winning and Dartford-born director Andrea Arnold.
The feature-length drama had its world premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in May where the writer-director received the Prix de la Citoyenneté prize.
The film follows a single dad named Bug, who lives in a squat in North Kent, and his 12-year-old daughter, Bailey, who looks for adventure elsewhere.
Alongside BAFTA-winner Barry Keoghan, the cast includes German actor Franz Rogowski and newcomer Nykiya Adams.
King Street and Windmill Street, in Gravesend, were shut in June last year while actors filmed in the town centre, while parts of The Hive, in Northfleet, are also featured.
Bird is showing tonight (November 13) and tomorrow (November 14) at Showcase Cinema de Lux in Bluewater, near Greenhithe.
