Young and old will be looking into space on Saturday, January 11 for the BBC Stargazing LIVE Space Spectacular.
It is being held at Maidstone Leisure Centre for a third year, organised by Maidstone council with the Mid-Kent Astronomical Society, the School of Physical Sciences at the University of Kent and magazine Astronomy Now.
This year there will be 15 activity zones and two astrodome planetariums where visitors can experience a journey through the stars with sound and light.
Other highlights include a children’s corner, a telescope viewing area and a cool science show featuring liquid nitrogen, laser guided tours of the night sky, robot programming and the chance to build a spectroscope.
There will also be four astronomy talks from guest speakers.
It is taking place between 3pm and 9pm and admission is free, although there is a £1 charge per person for entry to astrodome shows.
