Singer and presenter Alesha Dixon will be meeting fans in Bluewater this week.
The Britain's Got Talent judge will be signing copies of her debut book, Lightning Girl.
It's the story of 11-year-old superhero Aurora who has to find a way to balance the problems she faces at school while learning how to control her new-found powers.
The mum-of-one said: "My inspiration to create a superhero called Lightning Girl began with wanting my young daughter to feel empowered. It's been a dream to create a strong role model that any child can look up to."
The 39-year-old's career started out as a singer with pop group Mis-Teeq before setting out on her own in 2005. Two years later she won the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, before going on to join the judging panel at the BBC show, replacing Arlene Phillips, in 2012.
She will be at Bluewater Waterstones, Bluewater on Friday, April 6 at 3pm. The event is free but fans should arrive early and need a copy of Lightning Girl to meet her. For more information call 01322 624831.
