The last private owner of Leeds Castle near Maidstone, Lady Olive Baillie, was known for her love of elaborate floral displays at her lavish house parties and she held the castle's first flower festival back in 1901.
Today the tradition is continued with floral creations by the team adorning the castle's rooms for visitors to the house which she left to the people of Kent.
This year's Festival of Flowers, which runs from Saturday, September 14 to Thursday, September 19, will have displays that also mark the castle's 900th anniversary.
There will be an impressive line-up of internationally award winning floral designers and beautiful birthday-styled blooms spilling out for visitors to enjoy.
