Good gothic family fun is on offer at Betteshanger Park this Halloween, with a zombie charity run.
The KM Charity Team’s inaugural Zombie Chase will see runners chased around a 5KM course by the living dead.
The fundraiser takes place at Betteshanger Park in Deal on October 28, with the ‘fun’ starting at 2pm.
Participants in the themed run will be issued with three life tags and the challenge is to get round the 5km course before the horde of remorseless zombies – rumoured to be former park staff poisoned by a mystery gas cloud last year – strip them from you.
But rest assured, the zombies will not attack or chase you; there will be no physical contact – they are just after your tags.
The Zombie Charge is a fundraising event, with 70% of the sponsorship money going to good causes of your choice, and the rest helping to fund the KM Charity Team’s charitable road-safety work with children.
Participants are asked to aim to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship, and anybody who individually raises more than £200 will be entered into a draw to win a luxury spa day for two people including afternoon tea.
You should be over 10 to take part, and anyone under 16 must have a responsible adult running with them.
Under-18s do not need to fundraise but are welcome to do so if they wish. The cost is £20, but there is a £5 discount when using the booking code KMNEWS18.
