Vintage buses and vehicles will be pulling in to the Kent Showground this weekend for the return of an annual event which was cancelled last year.
The Heritage Transport Show, which will be at the showground at Detling near Maidstone on Sunday, October 10, saw more than 1000 vehicles when it was last held in 2019.
Organised by the Kent County Agricultural Society, it was also postponed from April this year to the new date this weekend.
Society chairman James Forknall said: “We are thrilled to be able to confirm a new date for the Heritage Transport Show after it was cancelled earlier this year. To be able to still run this in 2021 is testament to Covid-19 restrictions finally subsiding and it is clear from the support of the local community that positivity is growing.
“Although the situation with the pandemic still remains, the team will be following any changes to government guidance closely and will keep visitors and exhibitors updated. One thing for certain is that The Heritage Transport Show will still hold the same spirit and enthusiasm as it always has.”
The event will again be joined by the South East Bus Festival.
Tickets online in advance cost £10 for adults, with under 14s free. Tickets on the gate will be £12 for adults.
