He implored the crowd to Dance With Me Tonight - and boy, did they.
A 15,000-strong crowd at the sun-soaked Spitfire Ground in Canterbury danced and sang the summer's night away with Olly Murs and Louisa Johnson last night.
After an hour's warm-up from kmfm's Rob Wills, The X Factor star Louisa stepped out, showing off her flawless vocals to songs including Love Yourself by Justin Bieber, her single Best Behaviour and her smash hit with Clean Bandit, Tears.
The singer, looking fresh and summery in shorts and a striped top, also brought her younger sister on stage and persuaded her to sing a few notes, much to the crowd's delight, and also revealed her debut album would be out soon.
If the dancing and cheering had seemed loud for Louisa, it moved up several decibels when Olly Murs stepped out on stage.
Declaring "Kent, I love you" and "I think I'd like to move to Kent - don't tell Essex" he proceeded to play a non-stop show, with the crowd putty in his hands.
Showing all his moves, Olly barely stopped for a second, interacting with the crowd throughout, and getting them to sing and clap along.
He also told the crowd he would never forget what The X Factor, and all those who voted for him in the 2009 ITV contest, had done for him, and talked about how his life had changed from doing telesales to performing for such crowds.
Cheeky Olly also played on his recently single status, asking how many single ladies were in the crowd, but didn't forget to mention mums and dads, and thank them for supporting gigs in the recent climate, as well as thanking the emergency services.
Louisa joined him back on stage for their joint single, Unpredictable.
All the hits were there from Heart Skips a Beat, Grow Up, Dear Darling to Kiss Me, but he also did a 10-minute 70s, 80s and 90s medley specially for the crowd to "go wild" to and he Superstitious, in homage to his X Factor days.
Olly packed in more moves into his set than most of us knew he had, and his energy and enthusiasm never wavered. By the end of the evening, I think all 15,000 people would agree, Olly loved Kent - and it loved him back.
