There’s no snow in sight yet – but there could be snowdrops soon.
The National Garden Scheme launches its Snowdrop Festival at the Old Rectory in Fawkham on Friday, January 29, which is the first event of 2016 to mark the Year of the English Garden.
We’re a nation of gardeners: 93% of us have a garden or grow plants; 95% of us say being in a beautiful garden lifts our mood; and 92% say being in a garden helps us relax and de-stress.
The Year of the English Garden marks 300 years since the birth of gardening guru Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, best known for designing gardens at places including Blenheim Palace and Highclere Castle.
Supported by Visit England, the NGS’s first ever Snowdrop Festival will see gardens across the county opening throughout February for visitors to enjoy the humble snowdrop.
