We've picked the best shows to settle down to this week:

FILM OF THE WEEK: Frozen II

Three years have passed since Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel) ascended the throne of Arendelle. An ethereal voice from the enchanted forest beckons her to unlock the secret of a bedtime story told to Elsa and sister Anna (Kristen Bell) by their parents, King Agarr and Queen Iduna.

"The truth must be found. Without it, there is no future," confirms troll king Grand Pabbie.

Thus, Elsa, Anna and her goofy beau Kristoff, reindeer Sven and lovable snowman Olaf journey to an ancient stone circle shrouded in swirling mist, which designates a hidden pathway to the supposedly lost Northuldra tribe.

Frozen II is a crowd-pleasing computer-animated sequel, which dilutes a conventional quest storyline.

Disney's platoons of digital wizards repeatedly quench our thirst with jaw-dropping set pieces including a thrilling gallop over crashing waves of an angry sea astride an untamed water horse.

Returning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez don't quite rise to the dizzy heights of Let It Go but Elsa's call to arms, Into The Unknown, is a foot-stomping delight.

SERIES Westworld - Season 3

The future is now and it's bleak and unforgiving as HBO's award-winning fantasy drama, adapted from the novel by Michael Crichton, returns to Sky Atlantic and streams exclusively on NOW TV.

It has been a long time since android hosts violently rebelled against their human masters in a malfunctioning Wild West-themed park.

In the third series, hostess Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood) has finally broken free from Westworld and she explores what lies beyond with trepidation, causing ripples that have profound implications for the whole of humanity.

Construction worker Caleb becomes Dolores' devoted ally in her fight for equality. Meanwhile, Bernard Lowe attempts to thwart Dolores' efforts and madam Maeve Millay encounters familiar faces as she leaves destruction in her wake.

FILM: 21 Bridges

Michael (Stephan James) and his military-trained buddy Ray (Taylor Kitsch) receive a tip-off that a swanky restaurant in New York is a temporary hold for a shipment of cocaine. The low-level criminals storm the premises after hours and are shocked to find a whopping 300kg of white powder.

A police patrol arrives as the trigger-happy duo escape with considerably more than they came for.

Screenwriters Adam Mervis and Matthew Michael Carnahan milk droplets of dramatic tension from their simple and efficient set-up.

They run a stopwatch on the frenetic gun fights and car chases from the moment the lead investigating officer reminds colleagues: "If we don't catch these guys in the next three to four hours, they vanish."

On-screen time checks cleanly convey the relentless passage of time.

Boseman trades Black Panther's figure-hugging Vibranium weave mesh suit for more simple, functional attire as a morally incorruptible NYPD detective, who has been raised to never shy away from doing the right thing and to always "look the devil in the eye".

SERIES Elite - Season 3

Eight episodes, streaming exclusively on Netflix

Intrigue and deception bubble to the surface once more at Las Encinas, the most exclusive private school in Spain, when the engrossing teen drama created by Carlos Montero and Dario Madrona returns to Netflix for a third series.

At the conclusion of the second chapter, well-to-do Carla Caleruega (Ester Exposito) confessed to killing rebellious student Marina Osuna (Maria Pedraza). However, her conniving brother Polo (Alvaro Rico) walked free due to a lack of evidence. His return to the hallways of La Encinas in these eight episodes sows the seeds of a new tragedy.

Also, headmaster's son Ander fights for his relationship with Omar and Omar's sister Nadia rebuilds her reputation after the circulation of her sex tape with Guzman.

SERIES: Call The Midwife - Season 9

Available now on Amazon Video/BBC iPlayer/iTunes

The death of Winston Churchill heralds a new era for the staff of Nonnatus House in the life-affirming 1960s-set BBC One drama, adapted from Jennifer Worth's memoirs, which arrives on DVD this week.

Also this series, Dr Turner (Stephen McGann) faces an outbreak of diphtheria and Trixie (Helen George) and Nurse Valerie (Jennifer Kirby) take part in a fashion show to benefit the local community.

Elsewhere, Dr Kevin McNulty (Lee Armstrong) bravely and perhaps foolishly attempts to deliver a baby on his own.

The three-disc DVD set includes all eight episodes plus the 2019 Christmas special and two behind-the-scenes featurettes.

FILM Judy & Punch

The quaint seaside tradition of Punch and Judy puppet shows provides a narrative framework for a darkly comic revenge story written and directed by Mirrah Foulkes.

Punch (Damon Herriman) and his wife Judy (Mia Wasikowska) live in the 17th century town of Seaside, where independent free-thinking women run the risk of being labelled witches.

The couple are puppeteers and their violence-filled performances entertain rabble-rousing crowds.

Judy is the more gifted performer but Punch takes all of the credit and drinks away any profits at the local tavern in the company of busty wenches.

During an argument about the couple's missing child, Punch lashes out at Judy and supposedly delivers a fatal blow. He buries the body and attempts to pin the crime on an elderly couple. Meanwhile, a badly beaten Judy regains consciousness and swears revenge on her conniving spouse.

FILM Lost Girls

Exclusively on Netflix

Inspired by Robert Kolker's best-selling non fiction book, Lost Girls is a slow-burning thriller about one mother's search for her missing child.

In May 2010, 24-year-old Shannan Gilbert disappears.

Her sister Sherre makes a series of increasingly panicked telephone calls, which go unanswered, and Shannan's mother Mari demands action and answers from local law enforcement. The desperate matriarch retraces Shannan's last known steps and confronts uncomfortable truths about her daughter's lifestyle. The focus of the investigation shifts to a gated community on the outer banks of Long Island, coinciding with the discovery of more than a dozen bodies of local sex workers.

SERIES Sunnyside

10 episodes exclusively on NOW TV

Kal Penn headlines a 10-part comedy, co-created by Matt Murray, which screens in weekly instalments on Sky Comedy and streams exclusively on NOW TV. New York City councilman Garrett Modi (Penn) is forcibly removed from office after he brings disgrace to the city with his actions.

To restore lustre to his tarnished image, Garrett devotes his time to helping immigrants secure permanent legal status in America.

His desperate clients include Bojan (Moses Storm), Griselda (Diana-Maria Riva), Hakim (Samba Schutte), Mei Lin (Poppy Liu) and her brother Jun Ho (Joel Kim Booster). Garrett navigates a maze of bureaucratic red tape in search of redemption, with sage words of advice from his sister Mallory.
