An impressive laser display with a festive theme is set to soar over the Kent coast.
For the third year running, the historic pier in Herne Bay will be showered in colourful light projections and lasers during an after-dark display.
Visitors can choose from four different time slots between 4.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, December 16, with the display itself lasting for 15 minutes, and tickets cost £5.
The display, which is put on by Firework Store in partnership with the Herne Bay Pier Trust, brings crowds of visitors to the seaside town for the evening.
During the event, there will also be a Christmas party with music from DJ Slim Sounds and festive gifts available to purchase from the Shopping Village.
There will also be street entertainment from circus performers, funfair rides on the pier and the chance to meet panto characters and Father Christmas.
Visitors can also enjoy food and drink from the pier’s food court, serving Thai food, Caribbean dishes and pizza, and outlets such as Beer on the Pier and Bar 19.
The Victorian landmark hosts a number of attractions and events throughout the year, including film nights, outdoor music concerts and fireworks displays.
The pier was famously damaged by sea storms, leaving part of the structure isolated at sea since 1980, and is now looked after by the Herne Bay Pier Trust charity.
Tickets are available for the laser show here.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult and children aged 2 and under go free.
