Singing star Gabrielle Aplin is set to play in Canterbury as part of the City Sound Project music festival.
Gabrielle shot to fame with her single The Power of Love reaching No.1 in the UK charts, taken from her debut album English Rain in 2013 which included UK top 10 singles, including Please Don’t Say You Love Me, Panic Cord and Home.
She comes to the Marlowe Theatre in the city on Sunday, May 6 for a date ahead of the annual music festival which is held at venues across the city at the end of May.
The show represents the expansion of the festival, which is being held through the month for the first time. The first warm-up gig was held last week and featured garage star Ramz.
The show will also be the official after party to CSP In The Park, the new community festival from City Sound Project, which is being held in Dane John Gardens across the May bank holiday weekend on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6.
Festival organisers said: "The main auditorium at the Marlowe is such an incredible space and we’ve been itching to be allowed to use it for years. A lot of our audience would normally never experience
that room - we’re excited for them to see it!”
Tickets for Gabrielle cost from £21.25. To book visit marlowetheatre.com
