There are many beer festivals out there - but a coffee festival could give you an extra buzz.
Taking place at Tonbridge Castle on Saturday, July 13, La Marzocco’s Out of the Box is a free event created by, and for, the coffee community.
The event, which started out in 2009, has branched out to offer live music, workshops, street food stalls, drink stalls, pop up shops as well as family activities.
And with La Marzocco celebrating its 90th anniversary, this year’s festival - which runs from 10am to 7pm - will be bigger than ever. There will be 20 of the UK’s finest speciality coffee roasters, cocktail masterclasses with Grey Goose Vodka, barista workshops, sensory coffee experiences with Falcon Coffees as well as food and drink stalls and a live music stage. There will also be face painting and family fun for children.
Florentine company La Marzocco has homes across the globe including Australia, South Korea and the US.
Italian artisans La Marzocco have been handcrafting some of the worlds finest espresso machines since 1927.
“Living in Kent myself, I am always inspired and impressed on the array of choices when it comes to summer festivals and unique food and drink experiences,” said Paul Kelly, general manager of La Marzocco UK & Ireland.
“We’ve wanted to host a summer edition of Out of the Box since our first London edition in 2014 and we knew that Tonbridge Castle was the perfect setting.
“We can’t wait to meet and connect with the local community, and to invite our existing network to this inspired setting.”
Festivals and events are key to La Marzocco’s success and they act as a physical embodiment of the Italian hospitality that runs through its veins.
Since the first Out of the Box first took place in Milan in 2009 events have been held across the globe in cities such as Barcelona, Tokyo, London and Melbourne.
The event is free and you can register for tickets here. Pre-booked workshops are sold out.
