Comedian John Bishop has announced a huge nationwide tour for next year, and it starts and ends in Kent.
The stand-up star will kick off his 57-date tour, Back At It, at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley on Saturday, March 9 2024.
He will then travel up and down the UK performing to fans, including two nights at the prestigious London Palladium, before returning to the county to finish the tour in Tunbridge Wells.
The final night of the tour will take place at the town’s Assembly Hall Theatre on Sunday, November 17
“I’m delighted to be hitting the road again with my new show, Back At It,” says the 56-year-old comic. “I did a few gigs in New York and some over in Ireland and I’ve got the juices flowing again. I’m looking forward to seeing you all out there.”
After a brief career as a semi-professional footballer, the Liverpudlian turned his hand to comedy in the early 2000s.
During his 23-year career, the British Comedy Award winner has presented his own shows, John Bishop’s Britain and the John Bishop Show, and appeared on the likes of Live at the Apollo, Mock the week and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
His latest venture, aside from comedy, is the podcast Three Little Words, which he hosts alongside actor Tony Pitts.
The pair ask guests which three words mean the most to them and have interviewed a number of stars, including John Cleese, Robbie Williams and Professor Brian Cox.
Tickets for the Back At It tour go on sale on Friday, December 1 at 10am. You can book tickets online here.
