Rising comedian Katherine Ryan continues her ascent by taking a new stand-up show on tour.
Over the last year, the quick-witted Canadian has made a big impact with numerous TV appearances on shows such as Live At The Apollo, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, The Apprentice: You’re Fired and the hairdressing talent search Hair.
Now, after previewing the show at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Katherine is hitting the road.
Faced with the prospect of making a speech at her sister’s upcoming wedding, Katherine has realised that, after living in the UK for so long, she no longer knows her own family.
This has prompted her to take a look at the family relationships she left behind in pursuit of her own ambitions, with predictably witty results.
Katherine will be kicking off her nationwide tour at Quarterhouse in Folkestone on Friday, October 2. Tickets cost £17. Book at www.quarterhouse.co.uk or call 01303 760750.
She will also be playing the Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells, on Friday, October 9, and the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone on Saturday, October 17.
