Kids across Kent can get creative in the kitchen with the Young Cooks competition.
Organised by the KM Charity team, the cookery competition gives young people the chance to rustle up some great grub and see how their skills stack up against others from across the county and the south east.
Finalists will compete in one last cook-off at Broadstairs College, where judges will choose their favourite delicious dishes.
The judging panel will include representatives from the competition's sponsors and former Great British Bake Off contestant Jane Beedle.
One of the prizes on offer for the best bite is to cook with the head chef at the renowned Dog at Wingham - recently named one of Britain’s best gastropubs.
Other prizes include a share in the £500 prize fund and a family pass for four to Diggerland in Strood.
KM Charity Team CEO Mike Ward said: “Young Cooks isn’t just about finding the next Master Chef. It’s much more about getting children and families involved and learning an essential life skill.
“We want it to be fun and inclusive and if we happen to find the next Michelin Star chef, so much the better!”
There will be separate primary school, secondary school and further education winners.
The deadline for all entries is Monday, April 18.
