Country superstars The Shires are bringing their biggest hits to the Kent coast.

The duo, who currently hold the title of the biggest-selling UK country act of all time, are taking their music on the road and will stop off at Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone along the way.

The Shires are no strangers to the seaside town, having headlined the same venue back in 2018.

Best known for smash hits such as Daddy's Little Girl, I Just Wanna Love You and their new single I See Stars, which has already racked up more than 650,000 listens on Spotify, the band are one of the most successful modern country artists in the world.

Singer-songwriters Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes, who met in 2013 after both facing rejection from TV talent show the X Factor, made history with their debut album. In 2015, Brave became the first British country album to enter the Top 10 chart and has since been certified Gold.

Their second album, My Universe, also broke new ground by becoming the fastest-selling British country album of all time and reached the top three in the UK chart.

The Shires’ success was acknowledged in 2017 when they became the first British artists to win the Jeff Walker Global Achievement Award from the prestigious Country Music Association.

Fast forward to today and the band have now got five studio albums under their belt, including the new album 10 Year Plan which was released in March.

This current tour will see Ben and Crissie perform their most well-known numbers, along with new material from 10 Year Plan.

Warming up the crowd each night before The Shires hit the stage will be country singer and guitarist Eric Pasley.
