One of the last local opportunities for an outdoor music festival, Acoustics in the Wood also promises to be one of this year’s best.
The new highlight of the social calendar at the Rare Breeds Centre, near Ashford, will feature live sets under the stars from a host of the most exciting and respected names on the Kent scene.
CoCo and the Butterfields, the Van Susans, Phoebe Warden, Skies, Orfila, Small Town Talk and Thomas Ashby among others are on the line-up of the inaugural Acoustics in the Wood on Saturday, September 13 from 5pm to 11pm.
Organisers say: “With stunning acoustic performances by local bands in an intimate and scenic setting, this unique festival has a distinctly bohemian feel to it.
“Acoustics in the Wood is taking place in our stunning Rainbow Wood. Our 12-acre woodland is the perfect venue for getting back to nature and dancing the night away under the stars. Kick back on straw bales, sample some local culinary delights, a drink from the bar, and embrace your inner free spirit.”
The South of England Rare Breeds Centre is in Woodchurch, between Ashford and Tenterden. Doors open at 5pm and the music continues until 11pm.
Tickets cost £16, with proceeds going to the Canterbury Oast Trust’s work supporting adults with learning disabilities throughout Kent and East Sussex.
