Complex, dark and funky is the intriguing description that’s been given of David Migden and the Twisted Roots.
Known for his unusually versatile baritone vocals, David is a prolific songwriter whose material is described as twisted American roots, but with influences of blues, jazz, mariachi and rock.
Classically trained, David was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and moved to the UK as a teenager.
After playing and touring around London and Europe, initially in the Lee Sankey Group with Matt Schofield and Ian Siegal, he then teamed up with The Dirty Words - now known as the Twisted Roots - and released Second Hand Tattoo to a fantastic response from critics.
The band released their second album, Killing It, in 2012 and received radio play across the globe.
They are playing a gig at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks on Saturday, January 24, at 8pm. Tickets cost £14. Visit www.stagsevenoaks-tickets.co.uk or call 01732 450175.
