My great niece Daisy was so excited to see this production - she was waiting eagerly at her front door when I picked her up.
Not only was she looking forward to seeing the show a Billionaire Boy at at Dartford's Orchard Theatre, secretly I think she was hoping David Walliams was there himself.
But she wasn't disappointed the Britain's Got Talent judge didn't appear, as the show is just little gem for younger theatre fans.
It is based on his bestselling children’s book and is produced by the award-winning Birmingham Stage Company.
The book started life in 2010 and was published by HarperCollins Children’s Books and was also filmed for the BBC in 2016.
It's about a little boy called Joe Spud, who is 12 and the richest boy in the country who has everything including two crocodiles as pets and £100k a week pocket money.
But what Joe doesn’t have is a friend and so the show follows his story from when he leaves his posh school and starts at his local comprehensive.
However, his rollercoaster journey to find out what money can't buy is heart-warming, funny and features lots of Bumfresh toilet rolls and poo jokes.
Mr Raj the local shop keeper is a laugh a minute as is Mrs Trafe the slightly weird dinner lady and Joe does eventually find a good friend, Bob.
The show was just perfect for Daisy, who is 10, and she just loved it from beginning to end.
She giggled a lot and said afterwards it was the best show she'd seen and was delighted she could actually get Bumfresh toilet paper afterwards.
However, there were lots of children who were younger in theatre and the show is suitable for ages five and over.
It's the perfect treat for children and Daisy said her birthday treat of seeing it was the best present she'd had this year (apart from her new mobile phone).
There is still time to get your youngsters tickets as the show is on at the theatre until Sunday, November 17.
