No tricks: just a show about being happy.
Illusionist Derren Brown will bring his show No Tricks: An Evening with Derren Brown to Tunbridge Wells later this month.
Tickets have gone on sale for the show, on Saturday, September 24, in which he talks about happiness, which is the subject of his latest book, Happy.
The show includes a question and answer session afterwards with the audience.
Derren began his TV career in 2000 with a series of specials, Mind Control.
His shows have become must-see events, such as playing Russian Roulette on live TV, and convincing managers to commit an armed robbery in the street.
He has published three books: Tricks of the Mind, Confessions of a Conjuror and a book of his caricatures, Portraits, with his new book called Happy.
Derren said: "I’ve been writing Happy over the last three years. There may not be an easy secret to happiness, but there are effective ways we can approach it indirectly, or even, perhaps, deciding it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
"I hope the book will give people a richer insight into the kinds of themes that have affected my work over the last few years, and offer some strategies and ways of thinking that encourage a more considered and flourishing life."
The show is at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells on Saturday, September 24 at 7.30pm. For tickets from £25, visit assemblyhalltheatre.co.uk or call 01892 530613.
