Renowned DJ Pete Tong is bringing his huge Ibiza Classics show to his home county next summer.
The BBC Radio 1 star will deliver a set of iconic summer anthems at Maidstone’s Mote Park in July.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, November 24 and can be booked online here.
Pete Tong, who was born in Dartford and attended King’s School in Rochester, will be joined by conductor Jules Buckley who will lead the Essential Orchestra.
The summer concert will include some of the biggest Ibiza tunes from the DJ’s nights at the popular nightclub Pacha and his mix albums including Ibiza Classics and Essential Selection Ibiza.
Since his early years appearing on BBC Radio Medway and Kent’s Invicta Radio in the 1980s, Pete Tong has become one of the UK’s most well-known producers and broadcasters.
He was awarded an MBE in 2014 for services to broadcasting and music and has performed alongside the likes of Idris Elba, Becky Hill and Fatboy Slim.
More artists, including “international support acts”, are expected to be announced for the Maidstone show early next year.
The concert is part of the Park Live series of summer concerts, which also boasts events such as Rock the Mote and Maid of Stone.
