Pop singer, actor and 80s icon Jason Donovan has announced he will be playing in Margate later this year as part of eight extra tour dates.
His sell-out Ten Good Reasons and Greatest Hits Tour will now include the date at Margate Winter Gardens on Sunday, December 18, with tickets going on general sale on Friday, July 1.
The tour celebrates his 1989 debut album Ten Good Reasons which became the biggest selling album that year and includes two solo No.1 singles Too Many Broken Hearts and Sealed with a Kiss.
It also featured a duet with Kylie Minogue, Especially for You, which topped the charts.
Jason said: "The response to the spring Ten Good Reasons tour was so overwhelming. The audiences seemed to enjoy re-living that particular time in their lives for a short while as much as I did! I am delighted we have the opportunity to play the songs all over again and then play a few Christmas favourites at the same time. The new concert at Margate will give more fans the chance to enjoy the tour."
Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, CEO of LHG Live said: "Jason Donovan is an incredible star and born performer who lights up the stage wherever and whenever he sings. We are thrilled to be able to announce the show in December in Margate at the Winter Gardens, and to be working with such a brilliant artist."
Jason added: "Ten Good Reasons was a defining moment for me and my fans. It was the perfect marriage between music and personality. And I was only 21 at the time. You just knew that something magical was happening.”
The show will include songs from Ten Good Reasons alongside some greatest hits including Any Dream Will Do, Nothing Can Divide Us and Happy Together.
Tickets for the concert at Margate Winter Gardens on Sunday, December 18 go on sale on the Friday at 9am. They will be £35, with restricted view £29.50 and premium £50.
