The UK’s largest outdoor touring cinema company has announced a special tour for next year.
Adventure Cinema has confirmed that it will return for a one-off Elvis open-air cinema tour, bringing Baz Lurhmann’s box office hit to locations across the country.
The tour will be stopping off in Kent for one night only, with a date at Maidstone’s Whatman Park on Friday, June 30.
The tour has confirmed 39 dates so far, with locations including Edinburgh, York, London, Portsmouth, Swindon, Chelmsford and more.
Ben Lovell, Adventure Cinema co-director, said: “We are delighted that Adventure Cinema will return next summer to celebrate the iconic King of Rock ‘n’ Roll and offer everyone the chance to see the newly released movie in an incredible outdoor setting.
“Summer 2022 was our longest season yet and we can’t wait to bring everyone together again for unforgettable cinema experiences.”
Elvis is the latest film from Australian director Baz Luhrmann, who is behind previous blockbusters such as the Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge, William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and Strictly Ballroom.
The film, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks, was released in UK cinemas in June to critical acclaim and became the second highest grossing music biopic of all time behind 2018’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
Last year, Adventure Cinema’s Mamma Mia tour, similar to the upcoming Elvis tour, sold out.
The company is expected to announce its full season, which usually includes a mixture of cult classics, musicals, family favourites and new releases, early next year.
