Riverside Country Park is one of Medway's beautiful country parks and an ideal location for a day out with the whole family.

It is also home to a new playground that includes climbing frames, rope swing and slide.

The £100,000 project was completed towards the end of 2014 and includes improved landscaping that allows parents to keep a better watch on their little ones.

In 2010 Medway council invested in a shipwreck-style adventure space which remains on the site with the updated equipment.

The park in Gillingham covers 100 hectares alongside the Medway Estuary, including Motney Hill and Berengrave Local Nature Reserve. It Riverside Country Park has received a Green Flag Award, the national standard for quality parks and green spaces.
