The election isn't full of laughs, but hilarious moments are sure to entertain as one of the BBC’s best-loved sitcoms comes to Canterbury on polling night.
The Faulty Towers Dining Experience - which has enjoyed a year of sell-out seasons in Canada, Sydney Opera House and Edinburgh Fringe - pays tribute to the popular comedy and arrives at the Gulbenkian Theatre on Thursday.
Created by an Australian production team, Faulty Towers sees audience members sit for a three-course meal as the largely unscripted theatrics unfold before them.
With only one third of the two hour show scripted, audiences should expect the unexpected as they are waited upon in the 'Fawlty Towers' restaurant by favourite characters Basil (made famous by John Cleese originally), Sybil and Manuel.
The show will take place in the venue's cafe and the audience can expect a fully immersive, highly improvised and site-specific comedy theatre at its best, say promoters.
The Dining Experience started in Brisbane in 1997 and made its international debut in 2008 at the Edinburgh Fringe, where it has sold out every year since.
It opened a residency in London’s West End in October 2012 and now an eight-strong cast tour the world non-stop.
Tickets, at £35, include a three-course meal. The show starts at 7.30pm, doors 7pm. Visit www.thegulbenkian.co.uk or call 01227 769075 for details.
