This year, the trail is part of the castle’s anniversary celebrations, marking the 50th year of the Leeds Castle Foundation.

The foundation is a charity organisation that supports the 900-year-old castle by helping with on-site conservation and restoration projects.

As part of the anniversary, the sculpture trail will give visitors a chance to admire more than 20 different pieces of artwork over its six-week opening.

There is a self-guided trail map to follow, with each sculpture having its own unique facts and distinctive appearance to help spark visitors’ imaginations.

The pieces also have their own plaques so you can find out more about the artist and what inspired them to create their animal-themed artwork.

The trail also encourages visitors to explore the grounds of the castle, which include beautiful summer gardens and local wildlife, and soak up the natural beauty of the estate.
