A new Santa’s grotto is opening up for the last two weeks before Christmas.

Christmas World, the festive attraction taking over Margate’s vintage fairground, Dreamland, this year, will welcome visitors into a winter wonderland in the build-up to the big day.

The event will transform the venue, which is used as a live music hotspot and outdoor funfair in the summer months, into a festive hub with stalls and seasonal treats.

The attraction itself starts with a welcome from Santa’s elves, who will guide you through the twinkling grotto with storytelling and craft activities such as making reindeer food.

Children can then have some one-on-one time with Father Christmas, get their photo taken and receive a gift to take home.

When families have finished saying hello to Santa, they can enjoy some of the other Christmas World activities on offer.

There will be an indoor snowball fight, an electric sleigh ride, some children’s fairground rides that will be open during the event and treats on sale such as hot chocolate and winter warmers.
