A popular farming attraction has reopened its gates to visitors for the first time in four months.
The Rare Breeds Centre in Woodchurch near Ashford welcomed back members at the start of the week and the general public from yesterday.
The centre which monitors and works to secure the future of rare and native breeds of farm livestock has animals including cows, pigs, sheep and birds of prey as well as small animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits.
Meet the animal sessions are still being held, but with family groups only, including pig racing which is at 11am and 3.15pm.
All visitors must pre-book a time slot online at least 24 hours in advance of their visit. They will then receive an e-ticket to present and be scanned at a new outdoor driveway admissions point.
The birds of prey display in the Falconry Arena takes place daily at 2.30pm but tractor rides are suspended until further notice.
Other changes include hand washing before entering the farm; a new wider entrance with an arch to allow for social distancing, and a patio takeaway food and drink area.
Annual memberships will automatically have the period of closure added to their end date eg: an additional four months.
The centre's gift shop will remain closed but £10 surprise toy bags will be available to buy.
The farm is open from 10am until the earlier time of 4.30pm everyday, to allow for extra cleaning.
