After being the principle dancer with Matthew Bourne dance theatre company for a decade, he has taken on a literally all-singing, all-dancing role in the musical Saturday Night Fever, playing Tony Manero, the young dancer who sets the dancefloor on fire for his first starring role since leaving the medical drama.
The show, by veteran theatre producer Bill Kenwright, features a trio who are the closest thing to the Bee Gees you’ll see on stage today.
It features the familiar hits including Stayin’ Alive, How Deep Is Your Love, Night Fever, Tragedy and More Than a Woman, as well as other 1970s chart favourites from Boogie Shoes to Disco Inferno.
