Two of Kent’s most successful blues-influenced artists, well known to fans of the annual Maidstone Fringe Festival, will be performing in Maidstone.
David Migden and the Twisted Roots, and King Size Slim, who both wowed the crowds at the festival in May, will be at the Music Room at Pizza Express in Earl Street on Saturday, September 20.
David Migden and the Twisted Roots get regular airtime on Radio 2, and have had glowing reviews for their 2013 release Killing It and their most recent album Animal & Man.
The band herald from America but are now based in the UK, and fuse blues, rock and Americana.
King Size Slim, whose real name is Toby Barelli, is Kent born and bred, and has a raw roots and blues sound.
Support comes from Maidstone-based accoustic artist Thomas D Palmar. The evening, which is being promoted by fringe festival organiser Make Some Noise, starts at 7.30pm.
