The chance to see inside a fire engine and watch demonstrations by firefighters always attracts thousands to Kent Fire and Rescue Service's open days.
Some 30,000 people attended the popular days last year, but this year they will look a little different.
Although the physical open days have had to be cancelled, KFRS has instead moved online and will hold its first Virtual Open Day from Sittingbourne fire station on Thursday, May 28.
From 11am to 2pm ‘visitors’ will be able to learn safety tips by watching the online firefighter videos and demonstrations.
The service’s education team, 999 control operators and the family mascot, Woody, will also be there.
There will be an activity trail, with videos and questions to fill in at home which could win you a tour of your local fire station for once restrictions are over.
Chief executive Ann Millington said: “We know there’s a lot going on in the world right now, but learning vital fire safety advice is still incredibly important - especially with more people at home during this time cooking, using electricals, and having barbecues.”
