Celebrity chefs are lining up to dish up a new food festival treat for Kent this year.
Sophie Grigson, Rosemary Shrager, 2018 MasterChef Champion Kenny Tutt, Faversham’s own 2018 Christmas Bake Off Winner Jane Beedle and the Tanner brothers from the Kentish Hare are among the foodies included in the line-up for the first Taste of Kent Food Festival.
To be held at Bradbourne House in East Malling on Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8, the event will feature demonstrations, produce from across the county and family-friendly entertainment including circus workshops.
Tunbridge Wells-based chef Rosemary Shrager will open the show on the Saturday, while MasterChef's Kenny Tutt will follow on the Sunday, with James and Chris Tanner.
James and Chris Tanner, whose restaurant is near Tunbridge Wells, said: "We can’t wait for this.
"To be among a great line up of foodies demonstrating some of our favourite recipes is something we are seriously looking forward to - come check us out in the demo kitchen."
In the Cake & Bake Theatre there will be British Bake Off star Jane Beedle with bakers Howard Middleton, Sandy Docherty and Paul Jagger.
There will be a selection of stalls from the county's food and drink specialists and in the masterclass tent there will be short classes on offer including learning the art of foraging with local forager Carol Hunt.
There will be live music, street food traders and children's entertainment throughout the weekend.
