More on KentOnline
There's still a few weeks to savour before the clocks go back, and the evenings begin to draw in.
We've found five things you can do this month before seasonal events end and the clocks change on Sunday, October 31.
Folkestone Triennial
If you're looking for culture by the coast, there are still a few weeks left to see the 27 newly-commissioned works in and around the town for the fifth edition of the world famous art celebration.
The awe-inspiring artworks include a giant sculptured head and some very colourful beach huts.
While you're in town, stop for a bite to eat at the Folkestone Harbour Arm. Find out more here.
Secret Wartime Tunnels
Wrap up warm and head underground to the Secret Wartime Tunnels at Dover Castle. There are currently reduced visitor numbers so you'll need to act quick to get the limited tickets released each day at the English Heritage site.
Admission prices have been reduced to reflect the change. Book your tickets to the castle on the English Heritage website here.
Canterbury River Tours
There's not long left before Canterbury River Tours finish for the season - they are due to run until Sunday, November 7 - but while there's a nip in the air, you may find them less busy.
The historic tours take up to 12 people in a boat, weather permitting. Book online by clicking here or speak to a member of staff on the King's Bridge to see if there's space.
Biddenden Vineyard
Explore some countryside and work up an appetite by visiting a Kent vineyard while tours are still taking place.
At Biddenden Vineyard near Tenterden, self-guided tours are available until Saturday, November 6. Afterwards, visit the shop to buy locally-made wines, juices and cheeses. Find out more here.
Birdwatching at Samphire Hoe
They're annual visitors to our shores, but migrating birds don't stay with us all year round. Every autumn, millions of migrant birds head to this country and return to continental Europe at the end of the winter. Join an event at Samphire Hoe near Dover to see the amazing bird life, running this month. For more details click here.
