Football memories are made of this exhibition.
Maidstone: United in Football is running at Maidstone Museum in St Faiths Street until this weekend.
As well as the most comprehensive history of Maidstone United in its various guises, the exhibition also outlines how different aspects of the game interacted with the town.
Lifelong Stones fan John Bunyard told how he’d been inspired to organise it after seeing a solitary item about the club in a display case. Admission is free, thanks to the generosity of sponsor Gordon Wallis.
The museum is just a few minutes from the Gallagher Stadium – home of The Stones – and is open from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday. The exhibition runs until Saturday, January 18.
It is free to enter.
