Squeeze frontman Glenn Tilbrook and Deal-based Will Varley are among the four headliners announced for the 10th anniversary of a town centre music festival.
Maidstone Fringe Festival, which will be held from Wednesday, April 29, to Sunday, May 3 this year, will also see chap-hop star Professor Elemental and Medway Fringe regular Funke and the Two Tone Baby also headlining.
The majority of gigs at the five-day event, which is held at venues across the town centre, are free to attend, with some ticketed shows by more established artists.
Squeeze frontman guitarist Glenn Tilbrook will be returning to Maidstone for his date on Saturday, May 2 for one of his only solo acoustic gigs this year at the Music Room at Pizza Express,in Earl Street, performing a mixture of his own album tracks and classics such as Up The Junction and Tempted. Tickets cost £22.
Alternative folk artist and songwriter Will Varley also plays at the venue on Friday, May 1, with tickets priced at £17, while chap-hop star Professor Elemental plays a double headline gig with loop pedal king
Funke and the Two Tone Baby on Thursday, April 30, with tickets costing £12.50.
Confirmed venues to date include The Style & Winch, Market House, Frederic, the Cellars Alehouse, the Flower Pot, Drakes, Ashes, The First & Last, the Duke Of Marlborough, and the Herbalist.
There will also be an open air stage in Jubilee Square in conjunction with Ramblin’ Man Fair this year.
Acts already announced include Salvation Jayne, the Gallerys, Oskar Vilcrow, Broken Banjo, the Devil's Prefects and the Lowly Strung.
