Fans of ballroom dance have got a busy week coming up as three shows featuring the stars of Strictly are coming to Kent.
Italian champion Giovanni Pernice, couple Nadiya Bychkova and Kai Widdrington, and judge Craig Revel Horwood will all be visiting the county in the coming days.
Giovanni is bringing a taste of his homeland to audiences at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells on Sunday, May 7.
The dancer has already performed his latest show, Made in Italy, in Canterbury, Dartford and Bromley as part of his nationwide tour.
The production is a love letter to Giovanni’s heritage, from growing up in Sicily to his time at dance school in Bologna.
It features stunning choreography, costumes and music, all intertwined with stories about the 32-year-old’s life, both here in the UK and his early years in Italy.

On the same night, a couple who found love on the dancefloor are giving fans a glimpse into their partnership.
Nadiya Bychkova and Kai Widdrington, who met when Kai joined the Strictly Come Dancing team in 2021 and confirmed their romantic relationship the following year, are performing their glamorous new show at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford.
Once Upon a Time takes fans through each dancer’s journey, from young children - Kai grew up in Eastleigh, Hampshire, while Nadiya was born in Ukraine - to ballroom and Latin champions and TV stars.
“We want people to see behind the curtain of our lives,” says 27-year-old Kai. “We want to show audiences who we are on and off the dancefloor.”
“We’ve both been on the Strictly tours but this is a chance to tell our own story,” adds two-time World Champion Nadiya. “It’s a big responsibility so there’s a lot of pressure. But it’s so exciting.”

Finally, there’s still a chance to catch Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood as he steps into the shoes of Miss Hannigan as part of Annie’s nationwide tour.
The dancer and choreographer, who has been part of the show’s judging panel since 2004, is reprising the role for a third time for this latest production, which will be at the Orchard Theatre from Monday, May 1 until Sunday, May 6.
“I just love this character so much,” says the Australian-born performer. “I think she is an extremely misunderstood woman. Playing her is like an actor’s playground, she is a tyrant and a villain, and those are always the most fun characters to play.
“I couldn’t believe that they wanted me to play Miss Hannigan at first, but I thought it would be great, and a real challenge for me. She’s not a pantomime dame, there’s no mucking about or breaking the fourth wall, she’s a very real character in a beautifully written show.”
You can book tickets to the show online here or by calling 03433 100033.
