There is still time to bag free tickets for a great day out in the county.

A record 92,000 applications were entered in the My Kent Big Weekend ticket ballots, and more than 17,000 free tickets to 123 attractions across the county have now been sent to the lucky winners.

The most requested destinations included Wingham Wildlife Park (pictured), Leeds Castle and Diggerland.

But there is hope for those who weren’t successful, as the website is now offering leftover tickets on a first come, first served basis and will remain open for business until midnight on Monday, March 18.

Sandra Matthews-Marsh, chief executive at Visit Kent, said: “The huge demand for My Kent Big Weekend tickets this year means that lots of people have been disappointed.

“So we have made it really simple for any winners who now find they can’t use their free tickets to put them back on the site.

“And there is a quick link for everyone still seeking tickets to browse through the additional tickets and download them immediately – all on a first come, first served basis. Any unwanted tickets can be re-allocated to the website or downloaded until midnight on Monday. So until then it’s certainly worth looking at the website regularly to see what is available.”

My Kent Big Weekend is taking place on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24. Visitwww.mykentbigweekend.co.uk for more information.
