Following a statement release from owners Jack Simmonds and Luke Gibb of BALLIN’ Maidstone specifying they have been granted a brand new license and had some previous restrictions lifted with lots of plans coming up in 2022, it was only right that we contacted the guys to see what had changed and what was planned at Kent’s Newest Event Space.

The announcement read: “At BALLIN’ we have some very exciting news that we would like to share with you all. The past year we have been working very closely with the police and local authority within Maidstone Borough Council.

“The hard work of all at the venue has allowed us to be granted a brand new license that removes restrictions that was previously put in place at the venue. We are pleased to announce that this now allows us to host and create more amazing events for all ages to enjoy.”

“We would like to stress this will not in any way shape or form break trust or safety at the venue. We will always pride ourselves in hosting a fun and safe venue for everybody to enjoy.”

“This now helps with our age policy and dress code moving forward.”

Jack and Luke advised when taking over the venue that some restrictions were still in place from the previous owner, however, having worked closely with Maidstone Borough Council they are delighted that a brand new license has been granted giving them a fresh start.

Some of the restrictions that have been amended include some age restrictions and now the venue can be over 18 for men and women while Fridays and Saturdays with family events running Sundays are available to all ages.

Dress codes can now be relaxed and Jack and Luke ensured they would like everybody to feel comfortable when attending the venue.

Having gained a new license, they are very keen to ensure they upkeep their high standards and keep in place a safe environment for all to enjoy.

“A lot of people did not know about the restrictions, however, we have worked hard alongside our team to build a fun and safe environment and we will do our utmost to carry this on. The venue will always be open to everybody and should people want to pre book or just turn up and walk in we will always do our best to accommodate them and ensure they have a great time! Things are really starting to pick up and we cannot wait for the next few months.”

The other bit of good news about having the new license is some brand new events coming to Maidstone here is a few things that you can look forward to at BALLIN’:

Brand New Cocktails, 2 Pint Steins and mouthwatering food

A brand new cocktail menu has been introduced at BALLIN’ with 20 moutherwatering cocktails and 2 pint steins for just £10 on any draught beer and cider - and just in time for Oktoberfest & The World Cup! Food, cocktails and steins are available during all trading hours at the venue.

Did somebody say HAPPY HOUR? Two special cocktails for £10 between 9pm – 11pm every Friday and Saturday.

Gaming – Competitive Socialising

BALLIN’ hosts five gaming options including American Pool, Table Tennis, Beer/Pornstar Pong, Shuffleboard and Interactive Darts. All are available within a rental table hire or as a package deal with bottomless food and drinks options. This is ideal for some friendly fun and is very popular for corporate work events and Christmas parties. The Christmas Gaming Package is very inviting at just £35pp including two hours gaming with bottomless pizza and six drinks tokens per guest. You can't go wrong!

Live Sport – Live Boxing, World Cup, Superbowl

Vowed as Kent’s biggest and best place for all your live sports there really is no better place to catch all of the action! With Kent’s largest screen and 22 additional screens it is the closest you will get to ringside views with full pre and post match live entertainment and DJs its more than just a game! 2022 proves to be a year for sports and there are some huge events that will be shown live at BALLIN’ here are some of our chosen must see events:

Qatar World Cup (November 21 to December 18) – Join 1200 fans cheer England to glory as BALLIN’ goes all out with live half time shows from Queen, Sweet Female Attitude and much more. Live DJ pre and post match and there are lots more surprises to come. Tables pre booked in advance, general admission pay on the door.

Live Boxing – Some of the UK’s biggest ever Heavyweight Boxing matches are due to be scheduled in 2022 and BALLIN' takes you as close to front seats as possible. Tables are pre booked, general admission is pay on the door.

Brand New Sphera Sports Lounge with 6 Large TVs, Brand New Pool Table, Shuffleboard, Surround Sound, Delicious Food and Drinks will be showing all your weekly sports and every Qatar World Cup game this November and December.

Themed Bottomless Brunches

BALLIN’s brand new Themed Bottomless Brunches has already seen some great feedback online. A spokesman from the venue said that the Bottomless Brunches are very popular and are now selling out weekly. There are many different themes that are included including Buff Vikings, The Greatest Showman vs Moulin Rouge, Grease vs Dirty Dancing, Throwback RnB & Hip Hop, Drag Bingo, Disney & much more. The theme changes weekly and includes three hours entertainment with 90 minutes bottomless pizza, prosecco, selected cocktails, bottled beer and soft drinks for £39.50pp.

Sunday Family Funday – Santa Grotto, Halloween & Raver Tots All To Come

BALLIN’ have been hosting family events on Sunday for around six months now and have gone from strength to strength including hosting family brunches, parties, comic cons, cinema experiences, live boxing and wrestling shows and much more. The venue will be hosting exclusive Halloween and Santas Grotto events including their first family rave with the UK’s favourite family party Raver Tots.

Nightclub Series – Ibiza Classics, Halloween & New Years Eve

As summer ends with everybody reminiscing their trips to Ibiza, it is only right that the party carries on and what better way than at BALLIN’s brand new Nightclub Series.

A different nightclub event every Saturday night with some huge live acts, special guest DJs, themes, brands and much more. Our favourite pick of the bunch is the Ibiza Classics on Saturday 22 October with Brandon Block, Rob Cockerton, Tristian Ingram & Robyn Taylor on Sax.

The venue hosts its famous Halloween and New Years Eve parties where they go all out to ensure a night to remember. Halloween includes CarnEVIL and Freakshow with the venue transformed and live scare actors during the night. This is not for the faint hearted. New Years Eve brings you the Black & Gold Cabaret Show Club with live performances and much more. The biggest nights of the year will definitely not disappoint.

Groove Tonight New Years Day with Brit Funk Association & Friends

After launching their Groove Tonight brand with Alexander O’Neal earlier this year, Groove Tonight returns with a live performance from Brit Funk Association and a star studded soul DJ rooster for a New Years Day Special. The brand Groove Tonight brings all of your favourite soul and Motown vibes ensuring an unforgettable evening.

Sphera – Sports, Private Hire & Christmas

Available for private hire, The Sphera Lounge situated on the first floor Grade II listed section of the venue is perfect for any type of event.

The venue is full of character with a rustic vintage look with low ceilings and unique furnishings. Sphera has its own entrance and exit with its own set of toilets. Perfect for corporate events, birthdays, weddings, baby showers, engagements and any kind of celebration.

The space has just had a brand new Pool Table and optional extra of a Beer Pong table. It is perfect for Christmas parties. In addition to the gaming there are six additional large TVs added to the space which has access to show all sports. They will also be hosting private World Cup and Live Sport Parties so get in quick! During normal trading hours the space will be open with full commentary for guests to enjoy the live sports.

Live Shows – Boxing, MMA & Wrestling

Halloween

Always one of the biggest weekends of the year and there are lots of options at BALLIN’.

Their Famous Nightclub Event with Full Décor, Special Guest DJ & Scare Actors is not for the faint hearted. Themed Bottomless Brunches include a Funky House Brunch with Live Pas including Gracious K, Funky D, Hotsteppa & Much More. The UK’s number one Michael Jackson Live Tribute Thriller Halloween Show on Sunday 30 October with an adult and family brunch option. If you're always up for a laugh you do not want to miss this as Stand Up Comedy takes over BALLIN’ Wednesday 21 December with Bobby Mait with the Canadian Comedian taking over Maidstone during his UK tour. A star studded line up that will ensure you're laughing all night.
