There will be more than 100 live bands playing at 14 venues around the town at the Maidstone Fringe Festival this year, the sixth year it has been staged.
Bigger than ever, for the first time it will be held over five days.
Jah Wobble, the singer and bassist who formed post-punk band Public Image Limited with John Lydon, will play Pizza Express' Music Room on the first night, Wednesday, April 27.
Original Kent progressive rock band Caravan will also play the Music Room on Saturday, April 30, and feature original guitarist and vocalist Pye Hastings and long standing member Geoffry Richardson. It will be the band's first Kent gig in several years.
Kent folk-dance act Coco and the Butterfields, who mix village folk with vocals and beatboxing, will play the Music Room on Monday, May 2.
Among the other acts will be David Migden and the Twisted Roots, who are returning,
Maidstone stalwarts One Day Elliott; Funke and the Two Tone Baby, and bluegrass group Gentlemen of Few.
Venues include Drakes pub, Earl's and Druid's in Earl Street, the Social Chill and Frederics in Market Buildings. The festival will run from Wednesday to Monday, April 27 to May 2.
