Saddle up for charity or for fun at the adrenaline-pumping KM Big Bike Ride on Sunday, September 12.
Organised by children’s charity, the KM Charity Team, the challenge offers either a 50k or 100k route. Both set off from and finish at Betteshanger Park, near Deal – taking in scenic countryside and coastline along the way.
Raise money for any good cause or volunteer group whether it’s your local school or a major charity. Seventy per cent of sponsorship goes to nominated causes and 30 per cent to the KM Charity Team’s green travel and literacy programmes for schools: Active Wow and Buster’s Book Club.
Booking price of £30 includes mid-ride refreshments, sportive photograph taken on the ride, electronic chip timing, and souvenir medal.
Safety measures in line with government guidance on Covid-19 will include staggered check-in times and social distancing. Numbers are strictly limited and there will be no ‘on-the-day’ bookings.
Check-in waves are between 8am and 10am and cyclists aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
