Firle Place celebrates 10 years of its spring garden show this year.
Be inspired for your garden with specialist growers who can help visitors find the right plant for the right place in your garden at the show which runs from Friday, April 21 to Sunday, April 23.
There will also be artisan designs, homeware products, garden furniture and country foods and to mark the anniversary, there will be daily tree plantings and garden talks by exhibitors and experts.
Firle Arts and Craft Market will be held in the Old Georgian Riding School and there will be a flower festival and “herbal and healthy” refreshments in St Peter’s Church, while parish priest and TV presenter Peter Owen-Jones will be staging a pirate treasure hunt in the churchyard on Sunday.
Plant doctors, Steve and Val Bradley, will be back to solve gardening problems and to chat about plants, pest control and all gardening gripes.
Firle House will be open during the show at a reduced rate and visitors can look around Firle Place Herb Garden to see the progress there, with projects planned for the future.
Also on offer will be the Great Garden Show Tombola, a fair for youngsters, have-a-go archery for ages five and up, music from the Jazz Trio, birds of prey, puppet shows and the Mish Mash Morris Dancers.
Entry is £7 and £3 for under fours. Dogs are not allowed in the showground and gardens, except assistance dogs. For details go to thegardenshowonline.com, firle.com or call 01243 538456.
