Great British Bake Off star Antony Amourdoux will be one of the highlights of a special pudding-centred event in Gravesend.
Desserts Around the World will take place in Gravesham Borough Market on Sunday, January 26, from noon to 4pm.
There will be two dessert-making workshops for people to try their hand at.
Between 1pm and 2pm there will be a chance to make Indian desserts with the Bake Off star, while between 3pm and 4pm there will a chance to try your hand at making Turkish desserts with a local chef.
There will also be face painting and plenty of music and dance through the day, which runs from noon to 4pm. Fruit beauty
treatments will also be on the menu, along with arts and crafts and cupcake decorating throughout the day.
The event is the second for the Altogether Stronger project, aiming to ease tensions between community groups and promote cohesion.
By offering a fun way to celebrate diversity and increase understanding, the project hopes to take steps towards building a
stronger community where everybody feels they have a place.
There will be plenty of free tasters to try, as well as an opportunity to pick up some tasty treats to take home with you.
