Banish a bleak year by cheerily chasing rainbows on Sunday, August 22 with the KM Colour Run.
The charity event is all about getting active and having a good time so complete the 5k at your own pace.
Run, jog or walk the route at Betteshanger Park, near Deal, and get pelted with vibrant powder at each colour station along the way.
Take part just for fun or raise money for any charity or voluntary group from PTAs or community centres to major charitable organisations.
Seventy per cent of sponsorship goes to participants’ nominated causes. The rest supports the KM Charity Team’s green travel, road safety and literacy programmes for schools.
Paying adults and under-16s receive a limited-edition t-shirt on check-in, along with sunglasses and a small bag of coloured powder to throw. Medals will be dished out at the finish line. Under 4s can join in the fun for free.
Other fundraising events include the KM Big Bike Ride at Betteshanger on Sunday, September 12.
And you can conquer the cliffs at the KM Charity Abseil at Peacehaven on Saturday, August 14.
Maxine Tarquini, event coordinator for the KM Charity Team, said: “We’re offering a brilliant variety of fundraising events so there’s something for everyone – families, friends, businesses, charities and thrill seekers.
“The colour run is great messy fun for all ages and a real family favourite.
“Most riders can take on the bike ride as you can select a 50K or 100K route. And for a truly unforgettable experience why not take on a cliff-top abseil?
