Some special guests will be dropping in to join the show of military might both on land and in the air that is the Combined Ops Military and Air Show.
Held over two days at Headcorn Aerodrome, parachutists The Tigers from the Kent-based Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment’s Parachute display team will be delivering an exciting air spectacle with smoke trailing and flags flying.
Also taking to the skies at the ninth annual outing for the event will be the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the mighty Chinook.
More than 350 military vehicles from the humble military motorcycle to battle tanks will be on show to marvels at, with history and re-enactment group displays, model aircraft demonstrations and tank rides on offer.
This year joining the festivities will be the Band of the Army Air Corps performing some popular music styles.
There will also be plenty for little ones with the chance to drive mini tanks on offer.
The Combined Ops comes to Headcorn Aerodrome in Shenley Road, Headcorn, on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, and is open from 10am to 5pm each day.

AND FINALLY...
The last of three massive military mobilisations at the aerodrome this summer will be the Southern Model Show next month.
There will be model aircraft, helicopters, ships and tanks at show on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10.
Held in association with the Maidstone Model Flying Club,the show is expected to attract some 12,000 people over the two days.
There will also be a bring and buy stand for model enthusiasts. Gates open at 9.30am with flying, sailing and driving displays through to 5pm, and night flying between 7.50pm and 8.30pm. Details at headcornevents.co.uk
