Big names in techno and dance music have been announced for the line-up of this year's Social festival.

Techno heavyweight DJ Carl Cox returns to the Social, which will be held on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10.

Following on from the success of the Winter Social at the Kent Showground in Detling in February, the Social will also be held there in September.

Legendary duo Sasha & John Digweed will be headlining the Friday, and will be on stage together at the Barn arena, hosted by Mixmag.

Carl Cox will headline the Meadow arena on the Saturday, also hosted by Mixmag.

The boutique music festival for over 18s was originally launched in 2013 by local DJ Nic Fanciulli, bringing a taste of Ibiza and the top electronic music talent to his home town.

Moving to the showground this year, it will have camping, funfair rides and market stalls throughout the weekend. Organisers aim to include locally produced food and involve local businesses.
