Heavy metal band Trivium are celebrating the release of their 10th album with an intimate tour.
The group, who have been performing together for more than 20 years, will be visiting venues across the country, including a night at Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on Wednesday, September 6.
Tickets are on sale now, you can book online here.
The Floridian four-piece will be playing material from their latest album, In the Court of the Dragon, which was released in 2021 and marked the band’s 10th full-length studio album.
“I feel like we’re four people who just started a new band with all of the aspirations and dreams in the world,” says frontman Matt Heavy. “I’m excited to play our music. I’m very happy to be in the band with these three guys. 22 years into this thing, that’s incredible.”
Since the release of their debut album, Ember to Inferno, in 2003, the band have achieved a Grammy nomination for their single Betrayer and seen seven of their albums reach the Top 20 in the UK Album Chart.
Their 2005 album, Ascendancy, has been certified Gold, with more than 500,000 copies sold.
“Not many bands get this far, so [the album] had to live up to being the 10th record,” says bassist Paolo Gregoletto. “We didn’t know if we were going to be able to tour, so it had to still be impressive enough to keep everyone’s attention. We had to make sure we met the bar we’ve set for our fans and ourselves.”
The band will be performing their hits at 13 intimate venues across the UK through August and September.
