More on KentOnline
Hands up who's missing the pub? We're toasting our wonderful watering holes working hard behind the scenes across Kent with our campaign Love Your Local.
It may still be a while before we can all have a drink together in our local.
Despite government restrictions on when our much-loved locals can serve again, many are busy working to stay the hubs of our communities.
Boozers big and small have begun to diversify, and started to open their doors for takeaways and deliveries.
We want to raise a glass to our much-loved pubs of all shapes and sizes and from all across the county from small village hostelries to seaside spots.
Last week, we launched Love Your Local to show our pubs we love them.
And we were contacted by pubs across the county, and by regulars wanting to show their locals that they care.
In our first week of coverage inside your local KM Group paper this week, you'll find just some of the pubs who have signed up to Local Your Local, with adverts on what they have on offer, along with features about what some of them are doing during lockdown.
Here’s how you can get involved...
If you run a pub
We want you to get in touch with us and let us know what’s been going on at your pub during lockdown. Tell us about the changes you have made and how you are still serving your local community. In return we will give you a free advert inside What’s On.
We will also be writing stories, covering as many pubs as possible, to appear in your local paper plus on KentOnline in the coming weeks.
If your pub isn’t open yet, contact us in a few weeks, and we will let all of our readers - and your customers - know about your reopening plans.
To have your pub featured in Love Your Local email whatsoneditor@thekmgroup.co.uk with details of your pub, and what you have on offer and how to contact you.
If you love your local
If you’re missing your regular trip to the pub we would love you to get in touch. Email us at whatsoneditor@thekmgroup.co.uk and tell us what you’re missing most or any news you may have about your pub’s plans to reopen. You can also send us any photos you may have taken over lockdown of your local - or maybe you raising a glass to it at your home. In the coming weeks we will do our best to support all of the county’s pubs as we know how much they mean to you.
